Alchemy - A three part process during which a substance is analyzed, deconstructed, and reconstructed as something else.
Automail - A mechanical prosthetic linked directly into the body's nervous system.
Blood Seal - A transmutation circle used to bind a soul to an object or body. Must be drawn in either the blood of the soul to be sealed or a relative of that soul.
Chimera - A creature created by transmuting two-or-more species into single being.
Equivalent Exchange - The founding principle of alchemy that states that one cannot gain anything without first giving something of equal value. Basically, matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, only rearranged and redirected.
Human Transmutation - The greatest taboo that one can commit in alchemy. Usually attempted to resurrect someone, but can also be practiced on live humans
